THE EN1949 REGULATOR SYSTEM FROM C.A.K. The bulkhead mounted fixed regulator GREG524 has a capacity of 1.5kg/hour and operates at 30mbar. The inlet and outlet connections are a standard of W20 thread, to adapt the outlet to 8mm copper pipe use GCVAD8. For the inlet you need a pigtail assembly that fits your cylinder connection. For propane you need pigtail GPTP24 or 25 and for butane you need pigtail GPTB26 or 27. With this you now have a standard EN1949 regulator kit. THE EN1949 REQUIREMENTS EN 1949 is the new standard for the installation of LPG into touring caravans & motorhomes. Amongst other requirements, EN1949 harmonises - across Europe - the installation of LPG in touring caravans and motorhomes. From the 2004 season onwards (vehicles manufactured from September 2003), your new Caravan or Motorhome will be supplied ready-fitted with a special bulkhead mounted regulator (GREG524), labeled 30mbar, which has attached to it a pigtail (GPTP25 or GPTB27) connector for UK LPG cylinders. This ensures not only that you have the correct regulator at the correct pressure for your LPG powered appliances, but also that it is checked along with the rest of the installation as part of the manufacturers gas safety checks. When traveling in Europe for a safe connection to a European cylinder, you will need to obtain a pigtail or bottle adaptor that fits the cylinders available in that country. Simply connect adaptor to the end of an existing Butane UK pigtail while you are using the European cylinder. When you want to change back to the UK cylinder, simply swap the pigtail or adaptor back again. Therefore you no longer need to replace the regulator. An easier option is to install Gaslow refillable cylinders. They stay in your gas compartment and are refilled at normal fuel filling stations from their Autogas pumps.
