Its Important to note that most 3 way fridges (12v DC/bottled gas/240v AC) will need a 12v dc supply to operate the safety features. Even if you want to run on gas or 240v only you will still need a 12v feed to operate the electronics controlling the functions of the fridge. Thetford fridges have the option of a plug in battery back using AA batteries to temporarily operate the control functions of the fridge. For long term operation a 12v dc feed is necessary. A small 240v to 12v dc power pack will solve this if a 12v dc battery is not available.
