Thetford Absorption 3- Way Fridges & Accessories
It's important to note that most 3 way fridges (12v DC/bottled gas/240v AC) will need a 12v dc supply to operate the safety features. Even if you want to run on gas or 240v only you will still need a 12v feed to operate the electronics controlling the functions of the fridge. Thetford fridges have the option of a plug in battery back using AA batteries to temporarily operate the control functions of the fridge. For long term operation a 12v dc feed is necessary. Thetford Warranty is only valid when installations of their fridges are in mobile applications, ie Touring Caravans, Motorhomes and Campervans NOT in fixed installations like Shepherd Huts and Exhibition Stands. All gas appliances need to be installed by a qualified gas engineer to avoid warranty issues.View
